On Thursday (August 30, 2018), PSD Prokletije and TO Andrijevica, they organized a walk to one of the highest peaks of Prokletije – Maja Rosit (2,525 m), with the support of the NP Prokletije Education, Promotion and Marketing Service.
The campaign was led by the president of PSD Prokletije Zuvdija Bajraktarević.
Participants of the campaign were mountaineers from Plav, Andrijevica, Berane and Bijelo Polje, including the Director of TO Andrijevica Radovan Djekovic.
Expert associate for visiting park visitors Boban Redžepagić took part in the march and made a large number of photos, thanks to which we can enjoy the beautiful landscapes of NP Prokletije. He organized a hiking and excursion tour to the cursed peak Maja Podgojs (2.021mnv), which gives a glimpse of the entire plavogusinjs basin and belongs to one of the most beautiful gazebos.
NP Prokletije represents not only the center of high-level diversity of the Balkans, but also the center of biodiversity of European and world importance. There are many natural forest communities in the area of Prokletije and the forests, the communities of degradation stages of climatic ecosystems, as well as characteristic, mountainous, highland, forest and meadows. Forests are one of the most important natural resources of this protected area.
